In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
After five days of creation, came the sixth day.
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness.
27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
He made the man first for a reason. The head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
God knew Adam's need for a woman. We are made to be our husband's companions and their helpers.
So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh.
Why didn't He create woman-Eve, the same way He created man-Adam?
Studies show that the work of a "rib" is to support and protect the heart, lungs and other organs. It is also connected to the spine and expands for the breathing of the lungs.
My job as a wife “rib” is to make sure my husband is in a happy, pleasant and clean environment. He is encouraged and always supported. God is our example, before He created mankind, He organized His creation for mankind to live in a beautiful, clean, healthy and organized environment.
22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
23 The man said,
“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.”
24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
God didn't create us "women" the same way He created Adam (put the dust together). He created us from a man's rib so we can become one "Flesh!"
25 Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
We shouldn't feel embarrassed physically, emotionally and spiritually with our husband because we are one.
Intimacy with God and our husband is extremely important. It strengthens our relationship, and helps us to discover the secrets that build our trust and confidence.
It is important to communicate to our husband everything that is in our heart and mind (our struggles, our weakness, and our strengths). Then we need to LISTEN when they are telling us about theirs.
*As a “rib” wife, I need to make sure that my home (regardless of our needs or abundance) is a place of joy and comfort, that when my husband goes out, he can't wait to return.
We are one in Christ, as we are one with our husbands, because of our covenant with each other. The day has morning - sunshine and evening - darkness. These are two totally opposite times, but both together make ONE DAY. The most amazing time each day is when these two opposites come together as one during sunrise and sunset.
The same with us. We are two totally different people, often times two completely opposite people, just as night and day, yet we become ONE FLESH!! The sunrise and sunset blends the light and the darkness for God's glory in creation. In similar fashion, man and woman uniting together as one brings God glory through His creative order.
Questions to be answered by ourselves:
Am I created in God's image and likeness?
How did God create me and why?
What is the work of a rib in a human body?
Do I need my husband and does my husband need me?
Do I trust my husband and does my husband trust me?
How is my communication with my husband?
Am I making sure our house is clean, organized and pleasant?
Intimacy with God. Clean the house and make sure everything is in order and at peace - physically and spiritually. Read your bible. Worship Him.
